The Uniform Policy
Revised 8/3/07
*All 2007 revisions are in bold red*
IDDS believes a school uniform policy helps promote safety, ease of identification, equality, school pride, good behavior and the development of community. Furthermore, a school uniform presents a professional image to our downtown partners and distinguishes our students while they participate in the downtown learning community. School administration is given the right and responsibility to interpret the intent of the policy and make immediate decisions as to the appropriateness of specific items of dress in instances where the information is incomplete or unclear.
* Please remember that all students and parent/guardians must sign a Uniform Policy Agreement stating that they agree to follow the policy throughout the school year.
